Vivian Louise Powell Greene, 83, died on February 8, 2018.

Vivian was a graduate of Howard High School, as well as UTC.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 67 years, Charles Greene Sr.; parents, Calvin Powell Sr. and Louise Carter Powell; sister, Mary Powell Willis; brother, Calvin Powell Jr.; grandson, Marlon Ricks; and great-nephew, David Lawson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Maria (George Sr.) Ricks; sons, Eric, Raymond (Linda), and Charles Jr. Greene; daughter/granddaughter, Ashley Greene, all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, George Ricks, Jr. of Maryland; Maria, DeShanna, Darius, Christina, and Chalsea Greene; Jasmine (Edgar) Patton, Marcus (Natalya) Sanders Sr., Jalette and Jacobi Sims, and Dallas Harvey, all of Chattanooga; special niece, Pauletta McKivens of Michigan; 16 great-grandchildren; special friends, Bill and Helen Cooper; Richard and Doris Ervin; and many other relatives, friends, and church members.

The body will lie in state beginning at noon at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, on Feb. 15, with visitation from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will begin at noon on Feb. 16, at Second Missionary Baptist Church, with Dr. Ernest L. Reid Jr., pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
