Races Set For Bradley County Primary Election In May

  • Thursday, February 15, 2018

Races are now set for the Bradley County Commission and other top county positions for the May primary.

The qualifying deadline was Thursday at noon.

A top battle pits Sheriff Eric Watson against former Capt.

Steve Lawson in the Republican primary.

Circuit Court Clerk Gayla Miller has competition from Jeff Young.

All commission members are running again except for Mark Hall, who has qualified for the state House District 24 contest.

Louie Alford, Mike Hughes, Milan Blake, Thomas Crye, Johnny Mull, Howard Thompson, Jeff Yarber and Bill Winters do not have opposition.

Another incumbent, Terry Caywood, opted not to run.

Mark Hall is running for the state House instead of re-election for the commission.
