Corey Twitty, Alexus Smith Charged In Robbery Of Man Who Was Offered A Ride

Police have charged two people in the robbery of a man who was given a ride to a gas station and a bank.

Alexis Nichole Smith, 19, of 2406 Stuart St., was charged earlier with aggravated robbery.

Corey Deangelo Twitty, 37, of 3709 Chief Vann Road, has now been arrested on the same charge. 

The victim said after he went to the bank a knife was pulled on him and items taken from him. 

He called police later to say he had spotted the female involved in the holdup. She has long dreads with purple coloring.

Ms. Smith told police that she and a 32-year-old black male named Matt "picked up an older gentleman near CVS on State Line Road and gave him a ride to a gas station and SunTrust Bank on Rossville Boulevard. The victim is 55.

She said the man, after leaving the bank, was driven to the 3100 block of E. 31st St.

She said "Matt" pulled a knife on him.

The victim said the female took items from his pockets before kicking him out of the vehicle.
