Grant McBee
Grant Morris "Skip" McBee, Jr., 65, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, in the Hospice Care Center.
He was of the Christian faith and attended Brainerd High School class of 71. Grant was a veteran in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dennis and Mae McBee and Joseph and Ida Baine; father, Grant McBee, Sr., nephew baby Landon Jerrell Toney.
Survivors include his sons, Tobin McBee of Marshall, TX and Brandon (Melissa) Kushner of Pooler, GA; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; devoted mother, Marjorie McBee; sisters, Pamela (Minister Donald) Toney of Chattanooga, Barbara Gulley of Windsor Locks, CT, and Shirley (Leon) Caudle of Chattanooga; uncles, Weldon (Grace) McBee of Atlanta, GA and Reuben (Beverly) Baine of Chattanooga; aunts, Mary (Raymond) Reynolds, Brittie Ervin, and Idalene Baine, all of Chattanooga; devoted nephews Jason and Jeremy Toney, and very devoted nephew Justin Toney; special to his heart great-nephew Sandarius Toney and great-niece Kaylee Toney; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Eric Jones officiating and Reverend Dr. Richard Ervin as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
