Carolyn Sue Henery, age 61, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, October 11, 2019 at her residence.

She was born Dec. 23 in Benhan, Ky. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Henery; brothers, Carl Doug Henery, Leighton Henery, Charles Henery; and sister, Doris Ann Brown.

She is survived by her mother, Lizzie Henery; son, Charles Michael Henery of Cumberland, Ky,; daughter, Dia Chastain of Dalton, Ga.; grandchildren, Alyssie Russell, Diamon Chastain, Ariel Henery, Layklen Henery, Michael Smith; great-grandchildren, Cashton, Kaydence, Chandler, Chance, Kiersten; and several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Carolyn Sue Henry will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
