U.S. Air Force Veteran Was Volunteer Firefighter And EMT

Dennis Lee Miller, 71, of Loudon, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019.  He was born in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dennis was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1966 graduate of East Ridge High School and a graduate of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Dennis was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, had been employed as a vice president with CUNA Mutual Insurance Company and Southwest Business Corp (SWBC).  He also served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT in Tellico Village in Loudon, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Douglas and Dorothy Lund Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Miller; brother, Craig (Susan) Miller; two sisters, Lisa (Bill) Buchanan and Brenda (Jerry) Flowers; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Jake Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, Tn.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105.
