Jennifer “Jenny” Ann Jenson, currently of Hixson, passed away on November 17, 2019.

Jenny was born in Indianapolis on July 27, 1959. She graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis (formerly Southwestern at Memphis). Jenny was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and served as a sorority advisor after graduation. After graduation she attended University of Memphis Law School where she achieved her J.D. degree. She practiced law for many years and was a member of both the Tennessee and Arkansas bars. She was one of the founders of the Memphis Bar Association Real Estate Section. She served on several boards including Birthright of Memphis. After retirement from the practice of law, she was a freelance writer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Georgeanne Jenson. 

Survivors include her husband, Richard D. Cartwright; nephew, Clinton L. Newell; nephew, Gerald (Tess) Newell; niece, Paula (Mark) Harris; niece, Beverly (Kelly) Newell; niece, Mary (Randy) Westerwal; and nephew, Chris (Angela) Coffelt.
