2 Men Shot On W. 38th Street On Monday Night; Derrick Lewis, 37, Later Dies

Two men were shot Monday evening, and Derrick Lewis, 37, later died.
 
At approximately 7:21 p.m., Chattanooga Police were notified of a person shot in the area of 101 W. 38th Street.
 
While in the area attempting to locate a victim, dispatch advised a gunshot victim, 32, was located in the area of 2000 Market Street.
Hamilton County EMS transported him to a local hospital.
 
Police were then notified a second victim, Lewis, had arrived at a local hospital by personal vehicle.
 
Officers were able to locate a possible incident location in the 4400 block of Fagan Street. The CPD Violent Crimes Unit was notified and responded.
 
While on scene, investigators were notified that Lewis had succumbed to his injuries. 
 
The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
