Rachel Boring
Rachel Boring, 71, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019, in a Chattanooga hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth McCarter Jones and was also preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth Annette Carney her brothers Denford Jones, Lee Jones and Clifford Jones, her sister Hattie Mae Ramsey, her son in law Vance Ravens.
Mrs. Boring was a seamstress most of her life owning and operating Designer Apparel. She attended East Cleveland Baptist Church and loved to go to the river with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and had a heart of gold sometimes doing what she had to do to meet the needs of others. She was considered by many to be “The Most Wonderful Person Ever”.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Boring, her son, David Boring, her daughter, Debra Ravens, her grandchildren, Jamie Knowles and his wife Stephanie, Jessica Kuykendall, Josh Kuykendall and his wife Renee, Blake Kuykendall and his wife Crystal, Shalonda Anderson and her husband Josh, Cassandra Jones, Makayla Jones, Devin Ratcliff and Brandon Ratcliff, 14 great-grandchildren, her sister Renzie Johnson and her husband Kelly along with several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Jim Rush Funeral Home Wildwood Ave Chapel with Sgt. Roger Wright and Pastor Jeannie Cissom officiating.
The interment will follow at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Polk County with family and friends serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
