Mima Gates
Mima Jean Gates, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at her residence.
She was a graduate of Riverside High School class of 1967. She was a longtime member of New Zion Baptist Church. Mima retired from BCBS of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Vieanna Waters; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Survivors include her brother, Thaddeus Reid of Chattanooga; cousins, Jackie Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, and Lisa Johnson-Weary; niece, Sharon Whittaker; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Tuesday, March 12, at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at noon in the chapel with Pastor Dexter Cummings as the eulogist.
