CSAS Student Sarah-Nicole Jackson Honored For Her First Book

  • Wednesday, April 24, 2019

Sarah-Nicole Jackson is an eighth grade honor roll student at the Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences.  She received the Perseverance Award from CSAS for her determination in finishing her book, “A Time to Shine,” and for her consideration in attending the Young Author’s Book Signing at Barnes and Noble in November even though her book hadn’t arrived.

Ms. Jackson was featured at Stone Creek and Cherokee Ridge Elementary Schools in Walker County where she spoke to second and fourth grade students on what it took to write her book and to encourage them to “go beyond” in whatever they try to do.  She also donated copies of her book to the Walker County Schools.

She is featured now on the Walker County Schools website with pictures of her delivering her presentation and was featured in an article in the historic Walker County Messenger newspaper.

Ms. Jackson is now working on the sequel to her novel.
