What's With All The Recent Car Fires?

Thursday, April 25, 2019

My social media news threads have been full of car fires lately. I follow multiple news sites, all the hip photographers for said news stations. And I’ve got to tell ya, it’s been like one car fire per day. I’ve seen a couple multiple car fire days. Luckily I haven’t seen where there’s been any major injuries.

I wonder what kind of numbers we’re actually looking at? There seems to be no real pattern in year, make and model. No pattern on location or jurisdiction either.

One would hope that somebody somewhere would gather all the data and look for any common denominators:

Where did they get fuel last?
How recent was their last service?
Etc.
Etc.

Is anyone looking into it? Does anyone know just how many it’s been? Asking for a friend.

A Simple Human Responsibility

The nearer you get, the closer we’ll be...continued straddling of the reopening fence, but only after wiping it down with bleach. Roy Exum: Memorial Day, 2020

There is an old Indian proverb that is perhaps my favorite when word reaches me than a man or a woman in uniform perished in combat. Randy Smith: Baseball And Memorial Day

Memorial Day 2020 is in the books and it was one of the very best holidays I have ever spent. All of my kids and grandkids came to our house. They swam from noon until after 8 p.m., hardly getting out of the pool to eat at all. My son Davey has become quite the chef and he prepared smoked chickens and ribs on the smoker. My daughter Christi made her usual fabulous dishes including ... (click for more)
