Richard Marion Huskey, 83, of Ringgold, passed away Tuesday May 14, 2019. A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, Richard was a retired employee of Combustion Engineering, where he worked for 49 years, was the owner of Old Plantation BBQ restaurant in Chattanooga and a member of Boynton United Methodist Church. He was a Golden Gloves Boxer during his high School years, and an avid car enthusiast.
He is preceded in death by his parents, F.G. and Mattie Odell Davis Huskey.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Alma DeAnne Boyd Huskey, of Ringgold; two children, Rod Huskey, of Ringgold and Kim (Bill) Smith, of Signal Mtn.; three brothers, Gene Huskey, of Harrison, Ed Huskey, of Ringgold and Randy Huskey, of Ft. Oglethorpe; three grandchildren, Rachel (Nate) Johnson, Rebekah (Brandon) Ezell and Kyle Smith; four great-grandchildren, Phillip, Gracie, Micah and Asher Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens-South. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday and from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
