Thelma Irene Seagroves Compton, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of the north Georgia area, and attended Calvary Church of God.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Joshua Jackson and Birdie Lee Holt Seagroves; sister, Juanita Wright; and brothers, Raymond and Kenny Seagroves.
Survivors include her husband, Paul McAurthar Compton; children, Paula (David) Burgess and Darrin (Josie) Compton; siblings, Charles (Alice) Seagroves, Barbara (Don) Harris and Kathryn Tinker; and grandchildren, Devin (Amanda) Nation and Seven Compton. Thelma was blessed with several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Rev. David Rynolds officiating.
