State Trooper Dies In Wreck At Memphis While Responding To Call

A state trooper died in a wreck in Memphis on Monday while responding to a call.

 

Department officials said, "Today, the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security suffered a heartbreaking loss. 

 

"Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Matthew Gatti of the Memphis district was killed in a car crash while responding to a call. 

 

"At this time, the crash remains under investigation.  The department will not be releasing details about the crash until the investigation has concluded.

 

"Our hearts are filled with much grief and sadness.  The family of Trooper Gatti is in our deepest thoughts and prayers. 

 

"Please keep Trooper Gatti, his family and friends in your hearts and prayers."
