Williams, Gladys Elizabeth Hawkins (Ringgold)

Gladys Elizabeth Hawkins Williams, 89, of Ringgold, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 8, 2019. She was born in Rising Fawn to the late Samuel & Pearl Forrester Hawkins, and was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Ringgold, and she enjoyed sewing, fishing, gardening and just spending time with her family & friends. She was a loving and devoted sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, that will be truly missed by all who knew her. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Buck Williams; son, Johnny Farmer; and daughter, Glenda Nance.

Survivors include her children, Harold (Jan) Williams, Carol (James) Ellis and Sammie (Colin) Cunningham; sisters, Mary Jo (Lester) Lewis and Catherine Hawkins; 11 grandchildren, Adam, Seth, Phillip, Declan, Jennifer, Matthew, Michael, Keith, Jeremy, Heath and Shane; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Delores Hawkins; and numerous extended family & friends.

Services and burial will be private, and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
