Michael Morris Steele, 56, of Rossville, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  

 

Michael was currently employed with Yes Communities in Ooltewah. Michael was a “Jack of all trades” and was known for his carpentry abilities. His passions in life were spending time with his children and grandchildren, riding his motorcycle, working and watching movies.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Roxanne Joy Steele; parents, Ottis and Betty Steele; sisters, Carolyn Brown and Alice Simpson; brother, Johnny Steele; and grandchild, D.J. Latimore.

 

Survivors include his children, Brandi Ann Bales, Tiffany Agnes Steele, Michael Morris Steele, II, Elizabeth Jeanette Steele, and Skyler Ryan Steele; brother, Gary (Lena) Steele; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kandis and Donnie Yaden; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Tom Gross and Kandis Yaden “Mom” officiating.

 

The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, from noon until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
