Life Care Centers of America honored Lauren McCann, executive director at Life Care Center of Collegedale, with one of two President’s Awards for its Eastern Division on Aug. 26.

The honor recognizes distinguished service in the long-term health care management role. The Eastern Division includes 39 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

Ms. McCann was praised for her servant leadership and community involvement, as well as leading her team to achieve a deficiency-free state survey this year.

“Her staff and her residents love her,” said Doyle Love, vice president of Life Care’s Cumberland Region.
“They tell me so often when I am in her facility. You can always find Lauren out on the floors with her staff and residents.”

“Lauren has demonstrated professional skill and compassion in dispatching her responsibilities to the associates, residents and families she serves,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. “She has uniquely demonstrated a leadership style for others to emulate. This is a distinguished award to receive because it goes to the heart of our mission.”

Fifteen President’s Awards are presented annually to leaders of overall successful facilities or organizations within Life Care.

Life Care Center of Collegedale, 9210 Apison Pike, is one of 27 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Tennessee managed by Life Care Centers of America.
