Marty Haynes For Assessor Of Property

  • Thursday, January 23, 2020

I worked in the assessor's office for 39 years, serving the last 33 as director of Commercial and Industrial Property.

I worked for three very good assessors during that time and I learned a lot about what it takes to lead this highly complicated and very important office.

When Marty Haynes was elected in the fall of 2016 he inherited a very talented and dedicated staff from former assessor Bill Bennett. Marty led this team through the 2017 countywide reappraisal. From what I saw and heard it was one of if not the best done in the State of Tennessee for that year.
Marty has  kept all of his campaign promises and remarkably has saved the taxpayers over $500,000 in the last three years after taking office.

He has proven that he has the intelligence, integrity, patience and experience to continue leading this very important office. He has taken a very good office and made it even better.

Marty is highly thought of by other assessors and elected officials throughout the State of Tennessee. He recently was named East Tennessee Assessor of the year. A very prestigious award to receive especially since he hasn't been in office that long. Some people are born leaders and I believe Marty is one of them.

This office is not broken and it doesn't need fixing.

Please join me in supporting and voting for the re election of Marty Haynes as the Hamilton County  Assessor of Property.
