Freeda Griffith Hysinger, 84, departed this life on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland. Born on Sept. 11, 1936 to the late Clyde and Ada Griffith, she was a native and lifelong resident of Bradley county and was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Freeda retired from the Central Service Association after 40 plus years. She loved cooking, going to church, singing in the choir and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Griffith, Tommy Griffith, Travis Griffith and Terry Griffith; and sister, Phyllis Delay.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Jerry Hysinger; son, J.J. (Cheryl) Hysinger; daughter, Robin (Eric) Sherlin; grandchildren, Logan Sherlin, Kainan Hysinger and Caden Sherlin; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A celebration of life and homegoing for Freeda O. Griffith Hysinger will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20 at Mt. Olive Ministries, with Pastor Chris Rouse and Pastor Ramon Torres officiating. The interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens will immediately follow.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, Nov. 20 from noon-2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Ministries.
