Dr. Lyle C. Smith has accepted the position of dean of Engineering at Bryan College, effective Jan. 1, 2021.  Dr. Smith will assume the leadership role and continue to build upon the foundation already in place.

Dr. Smith has served at Bryan College since August 2016 in an active teaching/faculty role as well as serving as the Dual Department chair for the Math and Engineering programs.  He was a key architect of the Vogel School of Engineering program and curriculum and has continued to consistently bridge the gap between administrative tasks necessary for daily operations while meeting the myriad demands of his multiple roles.
