Linda Shriver-Buckner has promoted to executive director of independent living community East Ridge Residence in East Ridge. She started on Dec. 10.
Ms. Shriver-Buckner was previously sales director for East Ridge Residence and has now stepped up to be the community's manager of all the day-to-day operations as executive director.
"Linda has a diverse background in marketing, operations and sales across several different industries such as state government and non-profits.
She moved her focus to senior living when she was recruited to community relations at Garden Plaza of Greenbriar Cove and has been in love with the industry ever since," officials said. "Her unique blend of both sales and operations experience allows for a balanced approach to leading while keeping residents and associate satisfaction at the core of operating strategies.
"Her passion and empathy for the senior living industry and those it serves are exemplified by her enthusiasm for providing optimal affordable housing for seniors, peace of mind for their families, and a great place to work for associates," said Matthew Fox, CEO of management company Veritas Senior Living.
Ms. Shriver-Buckner was born and raised south of the Mason Dixon line. She graduated from Southern Adventist University in 1986 and returned to the Chattanooga area in 2005, after her husband passed. She is a passionate volunteer and well respected in the area, serving on the board of directors for a variety of associations. She has also been featured in Healthscope magazine. When not working or volunteering, spending time with her family brings her the greatest enjoyment.
