Juliette Massey
Juliette McCauley Massey, 97, passed on Monday, December 28, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was a 1940 graduate of Howard High School. After graduation, she enrolled in Howard University and received a master’s degree in Home Economics. While at Howard, she affiliated with the Alpha Chapter of AKA Sorority, Inc. She was honored at the Boule’ in Atlanta for being a member over 75 years.
Juliette taught at Miles College in Birmingham, Texas Southern University in Houston and Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo., before moving to St. Louis and joining the St. Louis Public School’s as a Home Economics Department Head at Soldan High School.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. William Massey of Princeton, New Jersey and Richard Massey Jr.; local survivors include her devoted nephew, Bryant Lowery and the Bouie family including Charles (Amber) Bouie, Carol (Gilford) Jemmison, and Rose Bouie.
