Archie “Gary” Youngblood was born July 5, 1943, and passed away on March 12, 2025.
Gary was born to the late Archie and Lucille Youngblood in Chickamauga, Ga. Gary was a devoted father, grandfather, businessman, avid car collector and aircraft enthusiast.

From an early age, Gary had a deep passion for cars and airplanes. He spent his life building and collecting classic cars, many of which earned national awards. Traveling to car shows across the country was one of his greatest joys, and he cherished the friendships made along the way.

He attended Gordon Lee High School, class of 1962, and started his first company, Gary’s Gulf, in Chickamauga. From there he worked for Amos & Andy Buick, Chattanooga, Buick Motor Division, Atlanta, and Pontiac Motor Division in Atlanta. Gary moved back to Chickamauga to be co-owner of Blueridge Tube Co./Catoosa Fabricators. From there he started Trico Mechanical Company and enjoyed working as CEO alongside his son for 35 years until his retirement in 2019.

Above all, Gary loved his family. His grandkids especially enjoyed summers at his lake and traveling with him to car shows, sharing in his knowledge and enthusiasm for classic machines.

He also enjoyed working in his yard which was a place of peace and pride for him.

Gary leaves behind a legacy of hard work, passion, and family devotion. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate to know him.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Janice Youngblood Beall (John).

Gary is survived by his sister Maxine Sharrock; sons Gary Scott (Cindy) Youngblood and Stacy Martin (Cindy) Youngblood; grandchildren, Olivia Marie Arnold, Archie Dillon (Stuart) Youngblood, Tye Martin (Rachel) Youngblood, Kendall (Jared) Breedlove; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Copeland, and Mary Martin.

A celebration of life will be held on April 24, between the hours of 12 and 4 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Chickamauga.
