Strong Weekend Performance Nets Kevon Tucker POW Honor

Kevon Tucker of Dalton State (Ga.) was named SSAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week and Joy Sadler of Middle Georgia State was named SSAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. The awards are based on performance for the week of Feb. 3-9.

Kevon Tucker (Dalton State – SR – G – Dacula, Ga.)

· This is his first-career honor

· The third-ranked Roadrunners extended their win streak to a school-record 16 games with two more wins, as Tucker averaged 25.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists, while shooting 55% overall and 74% from the free throw line

· He posted 25 points and four rebounds in a 93-87 win at Blue Mountain and 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting in a 107-101 OT win at RV Bethel
