Baylor has COVID-19 drive-thru screenings for its students and staff

Baylor is uniquely positioned with the ability to provide rapid turnaround COVID-19 testing for all students and employees. Quick and easy screening for all Baylor day students got underway on Wednesday and will continue through Monday with a make-up day scheduled for Tuesday.

After scheduling an appointment through the myBaylor portal, students arrive at a drive-through testing area at the soccer stadium near the school's back entrance where they are greeted by Health Center staff and other Baylor employees. The saliva samples are collected and delivered to the lab on Baylor's campus. Students are not required to exit their vehicles. Families are notified of the results via email, usually the same day.

Health Center Director Mary Catherine Robbins says that about 175 students will be screened each day during the week-long period.

Boarding students and their families have been notified of testing plans, which will take place upon their arrival for move-in.
