Kenneth Price, 88, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born March 8, 1932 in Englewood to the late Arle and Carrie Price. Upon his high school graduation, he served in the United States Navy Reserve from 1951-1959. He continued his career as an electrician and retired after 42 years of service from DuPont.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Irene Coburn, Christene Wilson, Dolores Masengill, Reba McGinnis and Frances Johns; and brothers, J. B. Price and Hugh Price.
Kenneth loved fishing and farming, helping others and was like a big brother to all. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, who will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary Price; sisters, Betty Faye Wampler, of Springfield, Mo. and Ouida (Jim) Middleton, of Englewood; brother, Billy Ray (Judy) Price, of Athens; daughter, Patricia Price, of Cleveland; son, Michael Price, of Englewood; grandson, Matthew Hester, of Chattanooga; granddaughter, Micha Crumly, of Cleveland; great-grandson, Austin Geren, of Cleveland; great-granddaughter, Milley Geren, of Cleveland, and three great-great-grandchildren; along with other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 7619 Blue Springs Road, Cleveland, with Pastor Steve Huff officiating. Interment will follow in Ooltewah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
