Ruby Bradford, 84 of Benton, gained her heavenly wings on Friday, September 11, 2020 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Ruby was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking breakfast every morning (including her famous lard biscuits). She also loved yard selling, canning, shopping, church and spending time with friends and family.
Ruby is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Bradford of 54 years; parents, Edgar Trentham and Della & Roy Woody; sisters, Sue Pankey and Mildred Nelms; brother, JM Trentham; and granddaughter, Addrienne Ledford.
Ruby is survived by her four children, Sandy (Eddie) Rice, Sharon (Rodney) Rogers, Kim Bradford and Charlie (Cathy) Bradford; her siblings, Dewey Trentham, Pat Matyas, Carrol McPherson, Donna Smith, Diane Womac, Eddie Trentham, Greg Trentham, Dennis Trentham and Kenneth Trentham; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a host of family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her special friends, Dorothy Burris, Sherry Waldrop, Sharee Allen, Frances Bishop and Pat Stewart.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor David Qualls and Reverend Robby Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow at Benton Memorial Gardens, with family serving as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14 and from noon-1 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
