Brumlow, James Mark

  • Friday, September 18, 2020

On Sunday September 13, 2020, James Mark Brumlow, my brother, went home to be with the Lord.

Born on August 3, 1965, he was the son of Thomas and Janette Brumlow, the brother of Eddy Brumlow who went to be with the Lord in 1961, and Michael Brumlow and Chris Brumlow who both survive him.

James was very much loved by his family and friends.  He was a good son, a good brother a good uncle and a good great uncle; loved by all his cousins and we shall all miss him.

He was a kind friend to anyone he met and he would help anyone he saw who was in need or in trouble. James had a compassion for others.  He also had a witty sense of humor and we will miss his crack of a joke.

James grew up in East Chattanooga on Billy Goat Hill and on Taylor Street.  He was a student at Tennessee Temple the class of ’83 and was a math genius. In high school he was on the wrestling team and was undefeated one year.  He loved to work word puzzles and he also loved a good game of chess.

He was a truck driver in Chattanooga and also in Dallas. James loved to travel and he enjoyed being on the open road.

His favorite Psalms was the 23rd Psalms and his favorite bible verse was I Corinthians 10:13. James put his trust in the Lord and he was ready to go to meet Jesus.

We have the blessed hope to know he is in the presence of his savior and we shall see him again one day.  I Thessalonians 4:13-18

Enter Thou Into The Joy Of Thy Lord.

Visitation for James will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9-11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Rossville.
