The 30th Ice Bowl four day weekend concluded Sunday with feature races galore as close to 400 race teams converged upon Talladega Short Track across from the Super Speedway. Maryville racer Jason Welshan put his 604/Crate Late Model back in Victory Lane, like he did last June with the United Championship Racing Alliance. The #01 Hux Motorsports / Savage Racecar "Bandit" driver pocketed $3,000 for his efforts against 48 other entrants.

Ooltewah's Riley Hickman was 15th whilst defending and two time back to back race winner Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland finished 21st overall.

Seth Wimpey of Blue Ridge, Ga. parked his Weeks Tire / Savage racecar in Victory Lane in the Ice Bowl 602/Sportsman race. Michael Page (#18x) of Douglasville, Ga., became the Super Late Model 5x winner of the Ice Bowl Main Event worth $6,000 Sunday as he defeated Sam Seawright of Fort Payne.

Randy Weaver of Crossville, Tn. returned to SLM racing after a two year hiatus from the division that nearly took him out of the driver's seat permanently. The "Dream-Weaver" finished 4th overall Sunday.

Tennessee Valley area racers Lil' John Ownbey and Andy Pickelsimer finished 23rd and 24th respectfully.
