Navy Veteran Made Mission Trips With BIMI, SCORE

Robert Taylor “Bob” Doremus, 88, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Auditorium Sunday School Class and served on Mission Trips through BIMI and SCORE International. 

Bob was a graduate of Chattanooga High School class of 1953 and Walker Tech.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Dairy Supply Company.

He was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Lunsford Doremus; daughter, Josephine Casey of Chickamauga, GA; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Greg Powell and the Rev. Dwight Martin officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9-11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 with military honors.
