Ruthless Vol System Has Now Chewed Up Mr. Big Orange Football

  • Wednesday, January 20, 2021

‘VOL’s’ once stood for ‘Vandals On the Loose’. Now it stands for ‘Vanquish Our Leaders.‘

Phil Fulmer lives and breathes Big Orange football.  He had two losing seasons out of 17.  Tennessee fans and administration unceremoniously trashed our leader.  (though, he got what he succeeded in doing to Johnny Majors), with no respect or class.

Boosters started a trend with Johnny Majors that is still standard operating procedure.  Bring up, hire on, use up and chew up coaches like trash bag liners.

Dooley was hired to clean up the vandals on the loose, and did his job.  Then he was ‘canned.’

Lane Kiffin, though immature, was hired to bring ‘life’ and excitement to Tennessee.  He certainly did that.  He didn’t stick around long enough to do much else.  UT got egg on their face.

Jones was hired to recruit, and did a great job.  He had one tough year after advancing Tennessee football in progression, building the program brick by brick.  He was humiliatingly canned.

Pruitt has been publicly trashed for things his staff, and might I add (does this sound familiar?) the boosters did behind his back.

Fulmer carefully read from a well-choreographed statement using age as his reason to resign.  If you read between the lines, he is actually removing himself from a system that is dishonoring every value Tennessee sports used to proudly hold high.  There is no integrity, honor, values or loyalty at Tennessee anymore.

When Mr. Tennessee Vols Phil Fulmer walks away, then my darlings, it’s over.

This year makes 50 years as a Vol fan. I’m seeing at UT what is the greatest collapse since SMU.  I hear other lifelong Vol fans turning to support other SEC teams who have honor. There will be no great recruits at UT.  By next fall, more players will transfer.  And only a desperate coach will take the job at Trash coach ‘U’.

Time to boycott a horribly corrupt UT program until they become good people. Just quit going to games for the next two years.  Let the chancellor figure out how to make up the $100 million loss a year to the university.

Stop supporting a bad program that abuses good people.
