Upcoming Street Closings Announced

Here are upcoming street closings:

Start-Up Week Block Party

Georgia Avenue between Market Street and E 10th Street will be closed on Friday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. for Start-Up Week's Block Party.

Chattanooga Football Club Home Match 
 
The following roads will be closed on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 3:30-11:30 p.m.:
Reggie White Blvd between the Chattanooga Skate Park north entrance and W 20th Street
Chestnut Street between W 17th Street and W 19th Street
W 19th Street between Reggie White Blvd and Chestnut Street
Street parking will be prohibited on Chestnut Street within the closure on the dates/times listed above.

Vehicles left within the closure will be towed at the owner's expense.

Missionary Ridge Neighborhood Association Cookout

Sheridan Road between S Crest Road and S Seminole Drive will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 4:30-8 p.m. for the MRNA Cookout/Block Party.

International Market and More - Reggie White Blvd

E 7th Street will be closed between Cherry Street and Market Street on Sunday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. for the International Market and More presented by Art 120.

All Nations Sunday

Union Ave between S Willow Street and S Orchard Knob Street will be closed on Sunday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. for the All Nations Sunday Event. S Beech Ave will not have access across Union Avenue during this time.

A downtown development has sold for $4.7 million. The property at 701 Cherry Street had been redeveloped by Mike and Matt McGauley. The first Krystal restaurant was at that location at the southwest corner of Seventh and Cherry. Krystal built its headquarters at the site in 1952. A home in the Harrison area was damaged by fire Friday morning. The Highway 58 Fire Department was called to 8006 Turtle Lane around 9 a.m. to a fire coming from under a deck.
