Brownie Holloway Heiskell, 81, was born on August 15, 1940, and passed from this old world to his brand-new home in heaven on Friday morning, November 12, 2021.

Brownie worked at DuPont where he retired after 40 years and served in the Army National Guard. He attended and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he met, and made many friends. He will always be remembered by his loving nature and his love for Jesus Christ.

He is also survived by his siblings, twin sister, Mrs. Dawn Armstrong (Judy), Hughie Travis, and Joe Thomison; several nieces and nephews, Ryan Heiskell (Shelly), Pam (Terry Rodrick), Jackie (Bill Stephenson), Jimbo Thomison (Ellen), and Donnie and David Armstrong.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta Heiskell, father, Hugh Brown, brother, Felix Heiskell, his sister, Mary Morgan, her husband, Byerly and their daughter, Beverly Morgan, and Yvonne Thomison.

Visitation will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home on Highway 153 in Hixson on Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 12-3 p.m. and the burial service to begin immediately after visitation. Conducting the services will be Pastor Greg Powell and John Bennudriti. Music during the services will be provided by Mike Hixson.

He never looked for praises

He was never one to boast

He just went on quietly working

For the ones he loved the most.

His dreams were seldom spoken

His wants were very few

And most of the time his worries

Went unspoken too.

He was there... A firm foundation

Through all our storms of life

A sturdy Hand to hold on to

In times of stress and strife.

A true friend we could turn to

When times were good or bad

One of our greatest blessings

The man that we called Dad
