Legacy Village of Cleveland celebrates National Caregivers Day
In honor of National Caregivers Day, the residents at Legacy Village of Cleveland, a senior living and memory care community, have planned a special presentation, including lunch and gifts, to show their appreciation to the caregivers who serve them through physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support every day.
“Our caregivers view their career as a calling, and their passion comes through in the work they do every day,” said Tim Cook, executive director at Legacy Village of Cleveland. “They bring joy to all of our lives, and this is our chance to show them just how much we appreciate them,” he added.
National Caregivers Day, which is celebrated annually on the third Friday in February, marks a day of celebration for caregivers throughout the senior living field, and especially for the caregivers who make up the team at Legacy Village of Cleveland.
As part of the National Caregivers Day celebration, residents will personally present gifts of thanks to the caregivers who serve them daily, an opportunity they’ve shown enthusiasm about throughout the planning process. The celebration will also include a catered lunch from a favorite local restaurant for caregivers at the senior living community.
“Our mission is to serve our residents with honor, respect, faith, and integrity, and our caregivers are on the front lines of helping us fulfill that mission," said Mr. Cook. "We truly believe that every day should be National Caregivers Day, but we’re happy to have a day set aside to celebrate them."
