Mountain Road/Mowbray Pike To Be Closed For 10 Days

  • Thursday, June 3, 2021

The Hamilton County Highway Department and Soddy Daisy Public Works will be closing Mountain Road/Mowbray Pike beginning on Monday, at 8 a.m. for 10 days, until Thursday, June 17, at 5 p.m. for slope repair, guardrail and drain tile upgrades.

Only local traffic will be allowed from the 700 block of Mowbray Pike (intersection with Millsap Road) to the 300 Block of Mowbray Pike (intersection with Indian Ridge Lane.)

All local traffic should prepare for extended wait times as there will be open trenches at times.

All efforts will be made to accommodate local residents but there will be delays.

No traffic will be allowed through from the 300 block of Mowbray Pike to the 100 block of Mountain Road, (this is the section where the slope repair will take place.)

Motorists should plan to use Montlake Road or Hotwater Road to access or leave Mowbray Mountain.
