Cleveland Company Starts Unique Apprenticeship Program

Anatole Exteriors Highlights Flexibility Of Registered Apprenticeship Programs

  • Tuesday, July 13, 2021

A new Registered Apprenticeship Program at Anatole Exteriors in Cleveland sets an example of how Tennessee businesses can design a RAP and create an internal pipeline for unique and specialized occupations.

The company worked with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce’s Apprenticeship TN program to design a RAP for plasterers. The United States Department of Labor certified the company’s RAP earlier this year, and Thursday they will sign their first class of four apprentice plasterers.

Apprenticeships are a learn-while-you-earn model of education. The apprentices will work and earn wages from Anatole Exteriors while completing 4,000 hours of course work and hands-on training.

Anatole Exteriors is a small, family-run business that specializes in exterior façade work on commercial and residential construction projects throughout the southeastern United States.

There will be interview and photography opportunities during the event with Anatole Exteriors and TDLWD leadership, as well as with new apprentices.
