Michael Hill, Jr., 50, of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2021.

 

A native of Chattanooga, Michael lived in the Tamp Bay, Fl., area for 14 years before moving back to Chattanooga in 1988.

 

He was a graduate of Tennessee Temple University and served as orchestra director at Highland Park Baptist Church for several years. He had served as orchestra director at Brainerd Baptist Church for the past 10 years.

 

He was a member of the Metro Instrumental Group.

 

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clinton Edward and Glynna Marie Reid, and Ronald Hill.

 

Survivors are his wife, Holly Wilt Hill;  children, Aedan Hill and Brennan Hill; parents, Michael and Delores Reid Hill, all of Ooltewah;   brother, Patrick Hill;  nephew, Spencer Hill, both of Hixson;  grandmother, Charlene Hill, Caseyville, IL; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held on Friday, Aug. 20, at 1 p.m. at Brainerd Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Shaddix and Rev. Bryan Skinner officiating.

 

The family will receive friends Friday from 12-1 p.m. at the church.

 

All attending are asked to wear a face covering  during the visitation and service.
