Cempa Community Care has elevated Shelly Perez and Akil Lloyd to leadership positions in the organization. Mr. Lloyd now serves as director of human resources and Ms. Perez is now senior executive administrator.

“Shelly and Akil are perfect examples of why Cempa has grown so well organizationally over the past few years, delivering more care to our area’s underserved communities,” said Shannon Stephenson, CEO at Cempa Community Care. “Their work ethic, their skill sets and their unwavering commitment to our mission are what drives us forward.
I am so glad they are on our team, and I am proud that they’ve both elevated their careers to the next level while remaining with us.”

Prior to joining Cempa in 2020, Mr. Lloyd worked with the State of Tennessee and Republic Parking System in addition to others. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Middle Tennessee State University and earned his master’s degree in human resource administration from Central Michigan University in 2010.
