Adrian Hence
Adrian Elice Hence was born to Loydell Hence and the late Bessie Boyle on June 1,1960, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She departed this life on Thursday, September 9,2021, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Adrian was a devout Christian and a member of Redemption to the Nations Church. She loved her church home.
Adrian grew up in Pine Bluff, Ar., and graduated from Pine Bluff High school where she had the honor of becoming the first African American Homecoming Queen. She also studied at the University of Memphis. She was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years and was devoted to her job there.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, two sons, Christopher Hence, of Kansas City, Mo., Jonathan Fields of Chattanooga; step-mother, Gloria Hence, of Milwaukee, Wi.; stepfather, Ardry Boyle, of Memphis; two sisters, Sharon (Darrell) Sullivan of Auburndale, Fl., LaShunda Underwood, of Memphis; one brother, Jeffery Boyle, of Memphis, one grandchild, Adriana Fields, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; ex-husband, Dennis Fields, of Memphis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Public viewing will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, at the funeral home.
A 10 a.m. graveside service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.
