Jeffrey Young
Jeffrey Eugene Young, Jr., 31, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
Jeffrey was a lifelong Chattanooga resident, and a graduate of Ooltewah High School class of 2008. He was a kind soul with a big heart. He was a loving son to Jeff, brother to Brandi, and uncle to Hunter and Riley. Jeff loved music, and he loved to laugh.
Much of his time was spent at concerts and music festivals. Great music made him feel free. He also loved fishing with family, camping, and working on computers. He was a gardener, and he loved to cook. Jeff carried love with him everywhere he went, and he is loved dearly by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Mosby Young; grandmothers, Mary Young and Theresa Mosby; Grandfathers, Troy Young and Harold Wilkey.
He is survived by his father, Jeff Young Sr. (Reba McKee); sister, Brandi Young; brother, Jacob Buchanan; uncles, Jacob Young of CA, Rusty Mosby (Toni) of FL; aunt, Julie Scherer (Alfred) of IL; brother in law, Bradley Yeoman; nephew Hunter; niece Riley, several cousins and dear friends.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at Erlanger Hospital for their care and the many friends and family who have reached out during this difficult time.
A visitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37404.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Terrance Hannah officiating.
Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park Cemetery, 501 Memorial Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415.
