Ruth Elsa (Strigl) Pierce, age 92 of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Life Care Center of Rhea County.
She was born in Nuremberg, Germany, on November 17, 1928, the daughter of the late Joseph and Dora Strigl.
She was employed for 35 years as a civil service employee in a military support role and managed the Post Exchange. She had been retired for over 30 years.
She is survived by her five children, William C. Pierce of LaMarque, TX, Diane Barkshire of Anchorage, AK, Doris Meadows of Columbus, GA, Gloria Bell of LaGrange, GA, and Charlie Pierce of Soldotna, AK.
There will be no services for Ruth at this time.
