Amnicola Highway And Wisdom Street Are Buried In Trash

  • Tuesday, January 25, 2022

It was not long ago Wisdom Street was cleaned of trash and debris down to the transfer station on both sides. The ditches and right of ways are now filled with trash once again, weeks after, and again blowing onto the adjoining properties.

Just as bad if not worse, the Amnicola right of ways look like a landfill from Highway 153 to the Wisdom Street intersection.

We do what we can to clean up in front on the plant but we should not have try and maintain the right of way of rubbish and debris on an almost daily basis.

I don’t know if it is lack of enforcement on commercial trucks not netting their loads in and out of the transfer station but something needs to be done to end this continuous nuisance and eyesore.

I can honestly say I’m truly embarrassed when I take my daily commute down Amnicola and think this is the impression out of town visitors are getting of the “Scenic City”.
