Billy Sherrill
Billy Sherrill, 80, of Evensville, Tennessee, died on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland, Tn.
He was born on Oct. 17, 1942, in Milo, Tn. Billy served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for TVA at Watts Bar and Sequoyah for 23 years before his retirement. Billy also enjoyed farming. He was of the Baptist faith.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents James N. and Clara McDaniel Sherrill, children Beverly Miller and Clint Miller, sister Eunice Swafford, and wife Wanda Charlene Sherrill.
Survivors include his children Carolyn Hensley of Dayton, Tennessee, Betty (Mark) Darr of Dayton, Jennifer (Ricky) Trusley of Athens, Tennessee, Randy (Leigha) Miller of Dayton, and Kathy (Danny) Creason of Dayton; brother James Sherrill of Pikeville, Tennessee; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Rothwell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Evensville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. before the service at Vaughn Funeral Home.
