Virnig Manufacturing has opened its new 62,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Pikeville.
The Minnesota-based company held a grand opening at the facility, at 403 Allen P. Deakins Road, on Monday. The project will allow the family-owned business to meet the growing demands for the various skid steer attachments it produces.
“I am excited to welcome Virnig Manufacturing to Pikeville,” State Rep. Ron Travis said. “This substantial investment will bring more quality jobs and important economic development to our area. I appreciate the company’s decision to establish operations in Bledsoe County, and I look forward to its successful future here in Tennessee.”
Officials with Virnig Manufacturing announced in November that the company would invest $11.6 million to expand its Midwest operations to Tennessee. The new manufacturing facility will be used to fabricate, weld, paint, assemble and ship products to customers. A total of 74 new jobs will be created as a result of the project.
Virnig Manufacturing was established in 1989. Its products support multiple industries including construction, landscaping, forestry and agriculture.
