CHA Hosts Summer Series Kick-Off Party

Promotes The Importance of Financial Wellness

  • Wednesday, May 18, 2022

The Chattanooga Housing Authority is hosting a Summer Series Kick-Off Party Wednesday.  The event will be held at the Emma Wheeler Homes at 4900 Edinburg Drive from 2-4:30 p.m.

The party will feature information regarding credit workshops, LiHeap (low income home energy assistance program) and eviction prevention.

CHA Executive Director Betsy McCright said, “We’re excited to partner with other organizations to promote activities that will lead to financial wellness.  We know that a good credit score opens doors to sustainability.  That’s why we’re proud to emphasize CHA 720.

"The Eviction Initiative will launch us toward July 20 and many of these individuals toward a credit score of 720.  We’re optimistic that as people participate in these programs, their credit score will rise over the coming months.  We can’t wait to celebrate their success later this summer.”
