Laura Delores Bledsoe Hall, 69, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, following sudden, combined health complications. She died peacefully and in comfort with her children at her side.

Raised in the Burk's Chapel community, Laura graduated from Hixson High School in 1971 and received her Bachelor's degree with a major in science and a teaching certificate from Middle Tennessee State University in 1975.  Following graduation, she taught at Sale Creek High School; she then worked several years at Cutter Laboratories before earning her engineering degree and working as a TVA Assistant Unit Operator at Watt's Bar nuclear plant and retiring her career as curriculum writer for new trainees at Sequoyah nuclear plant.

A lifelong student, Laura spoke intelligently about a myriad of subjects, passing on her knowledge to many. Her proudest moments were seeing her son rise in stature and recognition in masonry and her daughter becoming a registered nurse. Laura's beautiful granddaughters brought immeasurable joy to her heart.

Laura loved crafting and sewing. Laura's shining moments were standing before a stove with tasting spoon in hand then sharing her delights with family, friends, and co-workers.  Her favorite moments included time spent with family, visiting, playing games, and traveling, especially to Ellijay, and many other areas with her family. Laura loved the Pacific's Waikiki, the Gulf's many shores, and the Atlantic from Florida's to Virginia’s shores.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Ray (Sarge) Hall and her parents, Herial and Gailey Bledsoe. Surviving her are her son, Steven Hall (Brandy); daughter Rachael (Chris) Wilson; grand-daughters Shae and Maddalin Hall, Makayla and Kailynn Allmon; sisters Allene Gossman and Charlotte (Roland) Parrott, brother Curtis (Joyce) Bledsoe; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, July 3, at 2 p.m. in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Shoemate officiating. Interment will be on Tuesday, July 5, at 10 a.m. in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with son Steven; son-in-law Chris; nephew Scott Parrott; great-nephews Greg and Scott Parrott; and friends Brenton Ledford and Bryan Morris serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
