Randy Martin Guess, 66, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

Randy had recently retired from the Human Resources Department of TVA, closing a meaningful chapter of dedicated service just one month before his passing. A man of deep faith and vibrant spirit, he found joy in singing and playing bass guitar at his beloved church, God’s House of Cleveland. He had a passion for estate sales, a love for the beach, and a special bond with his cherished fur baby, Minnie.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother, Jimmy Wayne Guess.

Survivors include by his devoted spouse, Terry Hamby; his son, Derek Guess; stepdaughter, Jennifer Allison Hamby; brothers, Johnny Guess and Andy Guess; sisters, Linda McDonald and Debra Weeks (Rick); special niece, Stacey Duckett; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace. Celebration of Life service will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
