Patricia Pate
Patricia Ann “Pat” Pate, 79, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on June 8, 2022.
She was formerly of Signal Mountain where she lived most of her adult life. She was born on February 6, 1943 in Pound, VA., to the late Carl and Gladys Hubbard. She graduated high school from J.J. Kelly High School in Wise, VA. It was in Virginia that she met the love of her life, Jim Pate. Eventually their lives brought them to Tennessee where Jim worked with TVA. They settled on Signal Mountain where they raised their children. Pat went to work with RSS Insurance as an office manager from where she eventually retired. Pat was also very active in her church and attended weekly Bible studies.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Jim Pate, her parents, and a brother Spencer Hubbard.
Left behind to cherish Pat’s memory are her sons, Steve (Renee) Pate of Birmingham, Al., and Scott (Mary) Pate of Murfreesboro, Tn., grandchildren, Cooper, Campbell, Austin, and Tyler Pate; brothers, Ronnie and Johnny Hubbard, and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held graveside in the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 14, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Ande Myers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Pat’s memory to the Red Letter Offering at The Point at Signal Church, 939 Ridgeway Ave., Signal Mountain, Tn., 37377.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
