Sons Of The American Revolution Elementary School Poster Contest Opens

  • Monday, August 8, 2022

The John Sevier Chapter of the Tennessee Society Sons of the American Revolution announces the opening of the annual SAR Elementary School Poster Contest for school year 2022–2023.

All 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students interested in the American Revolution are invited to participate in the SAR’s Americanism Elementary School Poster Contest. The contest is open to public and private schools, parochial, home schooled, scouting, or children of the American Revolution member students in that same grade range.

Young artists with an enthusiasm toward art, a love of American history, or a passion in creative expression can submit their posters to their local SAR chapter for competition (John Sevier Chapter of the TNSSAR is the supporting chapter for students living in Bledsoe, Hamilton, Marion and Sequatchie counties).

The Americanism Poster Contest begins at the local level with student masterpieces being judged and prizes awarded prior to moving on to the state and national levels.

Students, parents and or teachers interested in participating in the poster contest can contact the John Sevier Chapter at email: johnsevierchapter@tnssar.org
